Ziya is a Las Vegas native and a mother of two. She hopes that by living an intentional, empathetic, loving life she may inspire others to do the same. While pregnant with her son in 2009, she attended a series of prenatal yoga classes where she experienced a deep connection to herself and her child. It was then that her yoga journey truly began. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and is impressed with the correlation between psychology and the principles of yoga. Ziya has a background in behavioral intervention, teaching, and childcare. She worked as a behavioral interventionist and consultant for children with autism for over a decade. She integrates her background into her work as a yoga teacher. Ziya is constantly exploring ways to enhance her knowledge and is a committed life-long learner. Therefore, in addition to her 200-hour yoga teacher training, she has also completed training for prenatal yoga, trauma informed yoga, kids yoga, chair yoga, and addiction recovery informed yoga. She is also a trained birth doula and postpartum doula. She believes that yoga is not something that you do on a mat, but rather a way that you live your life.

After hitting some really low points in life and as time went on, she began to notice the only time she was ever truly felt happy was when she was on her mat.
Ashley began her teacher trainings in 2020 and completed both her 200 and 300 hour YTT over the course of a year. Within that time she dove deeper in the spiritual side of the practice and it has transformed her life for the better. She's made it her goal to share this experience with others. She has been teaching across the Las Vegas Valley for three years now and found her passion for teaching in Yin Yoga, Sound Healing, and Meditation. Ashley’s goal is to bring more balance and calmness to your daily life through a better connection to your Self, one session at a time.
